Made it through my surgery just fine. The thoughts of Italy sustained me through the procedure. I highly recommend if you have a life altering occurrence, plan something fun for the back end. You'll be surprised how well that works.
So, I am hope recuperating for a few days with nothing to do but read up on Italy!! Lina and I decided to switch up our plans, but our goal is to tour Rome, take an audience at the Vatican, hit the Amalfi Coast, and then hit Tuscany (probably Siena or Chianti or something fun) Trying not to over-plan, but have a loose plan so we don't waste any time.
Decided to do a search on my maiden name, knowing we are decedents of Sicily - and found a WHOLE page full of us! It was so awesome. I emailed the guy to chat and see how they found so many of us. It's pretty cool.
Two awesome facts I found out - most Benintende's work in creative arts fields or in professions that help people. I thought that was cool because I do exhibit traits of both! AND...the Benintende lineage can be traced back to the Roman Empire where the was a Judge Benintende! How cool is that?!
Well, that's all for now. Off to search my fun fact for the day!
