So...Clarkette this is for you. A journal of Lola and Lina's trip to Italy.
The tickets are booked! We leave on Nov. 23rd and fly to Roma!
Our plan is to do three nights in Rome and then travel through Tuscany.
This will detail our trip planning, and hopefully if we are able to - our adventures while we are in Italy.
Little background. Both Lina and I (trip names) are born and raised Italian - Catholics from families from the West Side of Buffalo. We have been friends since we were 13 and have always talked about going.
We each have our own reason for celebrating the joyous trip. We had been planning to go next October, but a recent medical discovery would make that (hopefully) a little unlikely.
I have put this off forever, and finally decided now is the time. Going to Italy is the last major accomplishment I wanted to do before my husband and I start our family.
I realize life is too short, and we never know what tomorrow will bring. This is bold, unexpected and completely out-of-character - which is what is making it SOOOOOO exciting.

Lola, you bum, I can't believe you didn't call and tell me. II have to find out from Lina's Facebook. I'd wish you well, but I'm insanely jealous of your spontaneity.
