We made it!

The plane ride over was short and long all at the same time. But we made it!
First thing we did...got some sleep. I know, I know but I was up since 8 am yesterday which was yesterday and today is tomorrow so I am all messed up. It is 11 15 pm but my body thinks its 5 pm!

We ventured out in the rain and took our first Italian bus ride. It dropped us off just by the Spanish Steps. We found this cute little restuarant right behind the steps and had the MOST AMAZING food! A carafe of house wine was $6! We had artichokes in oil and mint, followed by zucchini leaves with mozzerella, then the ABSOLUTE BEST gnocchi I have ever had followed by osso bucco. Phenomenal! Topped it off with authentic Tiramisu. My mouth is still watering just thinking of it.

We then ventured over to Trevi Fountain which was absolutely magnificent. We tossed in our coins, and got hit on. This little guy kept following me around saying 'I love you. I told him i had a husband but he did not seem to care.

We then ate our first GELATO!! I had a sicilian flavor that had spumoni fruit in it. Did not love it but wanted to try something different. Lina had one that tasted just like nutella. WHICH I found a display of mini'nutella and took a picture of.

Tomorrow off to the Colleseum (the whole block it is away from our hotel) and then we are trying to figure out where else the winds will take us.

It is more beautiful and amazing then I ever imagined. So much to take in I am literally walking around staring up at everything. (Do not worry ' so far no tripping!)

More tomorrow.
Ciaò!
